ASRock's Taichi motherboards have consistently offered great value, including premium features into a competitively-priced product and even stretching to EATX dimensions on occasions, still with a packed PCB. It's great to see a refreshed model and as far as we know, the ASRock X870E Taichi White is the first all-white Taichi board too.
Even more impressive is that the launch price is the same as its predecessor that we reviewed back in October 2024 at $450. Inflation aside, the new board comes with new features too including 10 Gbps Ethernet, a 512 Mbit/64 MB BIOS and of course one of the most extensive white color schemes we've seen on a motherboard.
As we've seen with other refresh motherboards recently, though, the fact the older models still exist, and for often significantly lower price tags, can be problematic when it comes to recommendations. That's likely to be the case here too with the original X870E Taichi currently available with change from $300. Let's dig a little deeper and see what the new Taichi board has to offer and how it performs.
