Intel finally has some good all-rounders as far as processors go for LGA1851, and with prices of memory and storage remaining obscenely high, upgrade schedules are stretched to the point that its dead-end socket is maybe not quite as bad a choice as it was six months ago. If you're in the market for an affordable home for a Core Ultra 7 270K Plus, for example, then NZXT's N7 Z890 costs a fair amount less than the flagship N9 Z890, yet boasts similar aesthetics and features.
Available in black or white, the N7 Z890 and indeed the N9 Z890 have seen pricing in a state of flux since their release, with the latter becoming a bargain at less than $250 at one point. Where they're available, they are more inline with their launch pricing now, with the N7 Z890 settling around £300 or euros in the UK and Europe—but with limited availability in the US currently—while the N9 Z890 sits around £350. However, dig a bit deeper, and you can still find the N9 Z890 for $200. Whether that's due to tariffs or other factors is unclear.

A lot seems to depend on where you are and what's available and clearly the N9 Z890 is a far better choice if it costs the same or less. Today, though, we're seeing what NZXT can do with a mid-range Z890 board and what features it's cut from the N9 to undercut it, at least in certain markets.
