























We are now seeking to appoint a Senior Research Engineer within the Organic Photonics and Nano-Optics group at the Laboratory of Organic Electronics.
The position involves research within optics and materials science, with a particular focus on nano-optical studies of conducting polymers. The work includes experimental tasks such as fabrication, characterization, and measurements of nanostructured surfaces made of conducting polymers.
The position also involves optical simulations, as well as the preparation of scientific manuscripts and reports. In addition, supervision of doctoral students may be included in the role.
We are looking for a candidate with strong research credentials, as well as the ability and motivation to lead independent research within the project. You are a collaborative team player and have excellent communication skills in spoken and written English.
Preferred qualifications
You will be employed at the Laboratory of Organic Electronics (LOE), within the Organic Photonics and Nano-Optics group.
At LOE, we study electronically and ionically conducting organic materials across a wide range of research areas, including energy technologies, printed electronics, photonics, and bioelectronics. Within the Organic Photonics and Nano-Optics group, we focus particularly on organic materials such as conducting polymers and cellulose, with the aim of developing new optical concepts such as tunable metasurfaces and systems with controllable thermal radiation.

This is a fixed-term position for 12 months, full-time.
Starting date according to agreement.
