The position

The Communications and Marketing Division at Linköping University promotes our international programmes to prospective students around the world. We use a variety of channels, including the website, social media, events, telephone, printed materials and personal meetings.  

We are now looking for up to ten students from international programmes at LiU, from all over the world, to work as student ambassadors. Compensation is on an hourly basis, and the amount of work may vary from month to month. Some assignments may take place outside normal office hours, and additional tasks may be assigned when required. 

The tasks may include one or more of the following: 

Social Media Team (regular assignments): 

• Create content and manage LiU’s Instagram account, approximately one week per month  

• Create content (video, images and graphics) for YouTube, the website and newsletters  

• Manage our social media channels in China (native-level Chinese required) 

Events Team (as needed): 

• Respond to individual questions from prospective/applicant students 

• Coordinate and participate in online fairs 

• Coordinate visits from prospective and applicant students 

• Write blog posts  

• Produce and edit video content 

• Support marketing activities such as events, webinars, video campaigns and telephone campaigns 

• Participate in or host the podcast “Fika with us” 

• Coordinate social activities  

The person we need

We are looking for students currently enrolled in international programmes at LiU. In your application, indicate which tasks you are primarily interested in. Previous experience working at LiU as a LiU Ambassador is of merit. 

For the Social Media Team, we are looking for creative individuals with the ability to produce engaging social media content. Upon request, you will be expected to provide links to your personal social media accounts for review by @linkoping.university.  

For the Events Team, we are looking for students with experience in writing, video production, project management or sales/CRM systems.  

For all tasks, you need to have good social skills and be able to take responsibility. 

The employment

Hourly-paid position.

Start date: 1 October 2026.
