Matt White, JAMS Mediator and Arbitrator
mmcmanus · 2026-05-20 · via JAMS ADR

Matt White joins JAMS as an arbitrator and mediator, with more than 40 years of experience in civil litigation, personal injury and alternative dispute resolution (ADR). He is known for his practical approach to case management, strong command of civil procedure and evidence, and ability to facilitate productive settlement discussions. He is recognized for his analytical approach, understanding of the law and ability to manage challenging matters efficiently and impartially.

Prior to joining JAMS, Mr. White practiced law as the principal of his own firm and, from 2012 to 2023, served as a senior partner at a law firm handling primarily personal injury litigation. In addition to his personal injury practice, he also has extensive experience in a wider variety of civil litigation matters, including real estate, business disputes and employment law. His legal background informs his practical understanding of case strategy, risk assessment and effective dispute management.

Mr. White is a frequent lecturer and panelist on mediation, ethics, settlement strategy and civil litigation. He has presented for bar associations, judicial education programs and professional organizations throughout California and nationally.

As a mediator and arbitrator, Mr. White employs an approach that includes both facilitative and evaluative elements, drawing on decades of litigation and ADR experience, with an emphasis on realistic case assessment and durable resolutions.
