Publishing your first trade book

Publishing your first trade book

Wed 29 April

Newnham College

Have you got a great idea for a trade book? Join members of the Margaret Anstee Centre for Global Studies as we hear from a panel of experts about how to approach publishing your first trade book.

Chair: Dr Carol Cooper, Author and Associate Fellow at Newnham College

Caroline Hardman, Literary Agent, Hardman & Swainson LLP
Dr George Owers, Author and Senior Editor, Polity Press
Professor Pragya Agarwal, Author and Royal Literary Fund Writing Fellow at Newnham College

In this seminar we hope to demystify the publishing process and give some practical advice to researchers about how to go about finding an agent and publisher, as well as how to work with an editor on your first trade book. We have a brilliant panel of speakers and this promises to be a very useful and enjoyable session.

All are welcome!
