TRC-20 vs ERC-20 vs BEP-20 USDT at Crypto Casinos - Talk ...

Which Network to Deposit On?

When you’re depositing funds at your chosen crypto exchange, you’ll usually spot Tether (also shortened to USDT) available as a supported cryptocurrency.

A few years back, all the early crypto casinos were focusing on Bitcoin, but not USDT, which tends to be chosen because it’s a stablecoin, meaning its value is pegged to the US dollar.

This means it doesn’t fluctuate wildly like BTC or ETH (and yes, we know that you can gain on the upside, but the downturns are painful!)

Tether’s not only stable; it also lets you get the most from rapid blockchain transactions, which is one of the main reasons we love online crypto casinos as they are. If you want to explore more about USDT-focused gambling sites, you can also check out https://usdtcasinos.io

But if you’re relatively new and getting to grips with it all, you’re probably wondering whether to deposit your precious gambling funds on USDT TRC-20, ERC-20 or BEP-20 (these are all networks by the way!)

No, not the name of Elon Musk’s latest family addition, but three different crypto networks that you can use to deposit crypto gaming funds. They’ve each got their pros and cons. For example, some are faster and more expensive, and some are slower and cheaper.

But if you get it wrong, you can find yourself suddenly being slammed with way higher costs than you expected, totally cutting into your winnings. Even worse, if you accidentally send your funds to an unsupported network, you might even lose your funds entirely.

That’s because crypto isn’t regulated like traditional currency; it gives you massive benefits like speed and privacy, but it’s also not protected.

How to choose the best network

OK, so first let’s take a look at TRC-20 vs ERC-20 vs BEP-20 USDT and cover what you need to know about them. Basically, they’re all different versions of Tether, but they sit on separate blockchain networks like this:

  • ERC-20 sits and works on the Ethereum blockchain.
  • TRC-20 does so on the Tron blockchain.
  • BEP-20 is on BNB Smart Chain (which used to be called Binance Smart Chain).

So, just remember that although the networks are different, every USDT coin has the same value across them. However, as they move across each network, different fees will be applied, and the speeds involved will be different too.

A good analogy here is those delivery companies that constantly ring your doorbell with deliveries (yes, we know you were planning to rein in your Amazon Prime spending, but hey).

If you were going to send a parcel, it would be identical, but the speed and delivery time of different couriers would vary. Networks are the crypto fund couriers!

How do they stack up?

Used at Crypto Casinos?Very oftenoftenLess so, but growing

In terms of transaction confirmations, most reputable online crypto casinos just credit your deposit as soon as they have the right number of blockchain confirmations.

OK, so let’s see which one is the most popular.

Our choice: TRC-20

TRC-2 is the most popular network for gamers using crypto casinos online. That’s because it charges very low fees, is super fast, and works particularly well for regular deposits (great if you love playing slots, for example and like to make lots of smaller deposits to balance your bankroll.)

It’s also generally used across all the main crypto casinos online, including our recommended ones below.

When we talk about consistently low network fees, we really mean it too. So, if you dropped $40 using ETH in a busy period, you’d easily lose a few dollars in gas fees (these are the fees charged to make a crypto transaction, and they fluctuate depending on how busy the network is)

But on TRC-20, the same transaction might only cost a few cents. These differences make a massive difference to your profitability over time, especially if you’re just making lots of regular small deposits where fees really bite in percentage wise.

That’s not to say that ERC-20 and BEP-20 aren’t good, too. They’re well supported, high security and broadly welcomed at most online crypto casinos, and – certainly if you play with Binance, then BEP-20 can make sense as it’ll charge very low fees.

Which network credits quickest?

All three work just fine for casino depositing purposes, but crediting time depends on casino policies and confirmation speeds on the network.

Usually, the deposit times work out at around 2-10 mins for TRC-20, 2-8 for BEP-20 and 3-15 for ERC-20. Either way, we’re talking differences of minutes, not hours.

The golden rule: check your casino first (& play at a reputable one)

There’s a golden rule when it comes to picking the right network to send USDT. Use the one your casino is providing! If it gives you a TRC-20 address, then use that for USDT transfers, for example. Check this carefully, or you might never get your funds back.

These are all tried and trusted online crypto casinos with a strong reputation for handling player privacy, security, and transaction speeds well, with a high degree of trust from the player community.
