Yellowstone ended less than two years ago, and two spin-off sequel series have already picked up the baton to continue the story and legacy of the Dutton family. Earlier this year, the Kayce Dutton-centric series Marshalls introduced a procedural element to this fictional landscape. Now, Dutton Ranch follows another sibling’s post-Yellowstone journey. Here’s what you need to know to watch Dutton Ranch and keep up week to week with Season 1.
Dutton Ranch finds Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) and Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser) fighting to protect their new home in South Texas from an enterprising rival ranch. If you recall from the Yellowstone series finale, Beth bought a smaller ranch in Dillon, Montana and moved there with her family. Spoiler alert: that new home does not last, however. At the beginning of Dutton Ranch, we learn that the Montana ranch burned down and they relocated again. Shocker!
Finn Little reprises his role as Beth and Rip’s son, Carter. Joining the Yellowstone family are new cast members Ed Harris, Annette Bening, Juan Pablo Raba, Natalie Alyn Lind, Marc Menchaca, J. R. Villarreal, and Jai Courtney.
The first two episodes dropped on Paramount+ on May 15, 2026. In addition to the streaming service, Dutton Ranch will air on the Paramount Network at 8pm ET/PT. After the premiere, episodes will drop and air one at a time weekly accordingly.
There will be nine episodes total this season. That means that the first season will wrap up at the beginning of July.
