We’ve truly lived so many lives since The Boys premiered in 2019. Or has the time flown by? The fifth and final season of the superhero satire is finally here, ready to gag us one last time. Here’s what you need to know to keep up with The Boys final season.
Before the final season, I have two general pieces of advice. The first is to catch up on Gen V, as several of the youthful characters from the spin-off will be crossing over. This season is going to be a major superhero/antihero/vigilante team-up you guys.
The second is to make sure that you have a Supernatural fan on hand. Both Jared Padalecki and Misha Collins will be joining their former co-star Jensen Ackles, who of course plays Soldier Boy on The Boys, this season. I have a feeling that you’re going to need an OG fan of the CW series to explain all the in-jokes they have planned.
The first two episodes premiere on April 8, 2026. They’ll be available to stream on the platform at 12 a.m. Pacific Time and 3 a.m. Eastern Standard Time. So adjust to your time zone accordingly and make plans to stay up late if you want to be hardcore about avoiding spoilers.
The final season of The Boys will have eight episodes total. This is a weekly release. New episodes will drop early Wednesday morning. Unless you really hate pulling all-nighters, and I get that, this great news. The Boys is the type of show that people typically like to discuss from week to week. It’s no fun waiting for your friends to catch up so you can theorize about a cliffhanger! Let’s all suffer together. Since we get episodes 1 and 2 in the first week, that means that the series finale will drop on May 20, 2026.
Allegedly, according the Writer’s Guild of America database, the other episode titles in the final season are as follows: "Though the Heavens Fall", "One-Shots", "The Frenchman, the Female, and the Man Called Mother's Milk", and "Blood and Bone." They could be in any order. The titles may have changed since these were registered, but you can look them up yourself and see!
