For the first time in seven years, and maybe for the last time ever (but refusing to believe that), Ariana Grande is hitting the road. She’s called her upcoming Eternal Sunshine Tour “one last hurrah,” which can only mean one thing: Arianators must make it count with an outfit that’ll go down in history.

This is the time to show off your fandom and celebrate our diva’s big moment after years of grind. Get the group together and dress up as different Ariana eras; don’t forget, we have *three* albums to celebrate: Eternal Sunshine, Positions, and soon, Petal.

Thank goodness I cast the Ticketmaster spell to secure my tickets. If you didn’t, you can try your luck at setting a price alert in your StubHub app. Last-minute tickets tend to be the way to go this late in the game (i.e., tracking prices like a hawk on the days leading up to and the day of your show), but I have a feeling hype is only going to rise, as the debut single from Petal, “Hate That I Made You Love Me,” just dropped. Manifesting more new songs during the tour!

Eternal Sunshine birthed a healing and enlightened Ari, as she stepped out into the project after wrapping, and while promoting, Wicked. Therein lies a fountain of outfit inspiration.

Perhaps the most iconic look from the Eternal Sunshine era is this white and red number, breadcrumbed in the “Yes, And?” single artwork, and fed to us in the album cover (facing backward, see slide two in her IG swipe) and accompanying photo shoot. I think Cider has the perfect white cotton dress—complete with Peter Pan collar and ruffled sleeves—for under $50. Red tights and gloves required!!! Kinda feeling a fingerless option that makes it easy to snap pics all night long while keeping your outfit intact.

Live television premiere of “We Can’t Be Friends.”

I personally couldn’t get enough of this look, complete with slip dress, furry coat, and cloud makeup from her SNL debut. Probably the least practical look for a summer tour, but you could make it work with an off-the-shoulder cardi or a plume of feathers.

Ethereal Met Gala fairy

A fan-favorite look to come out of the Eternal Sunshine era was Ari’s performance look from the 2024 Met Gala. She wore an ethereal green (custom) Maison Margiela by John Galliano, the designer of the night at that year’s ball. She channeled it in her latest dragonfly capsule for Swarovski.

Positions

Let’s not forget this tour is also in support of Positions, her 2020 album that got us grooving in our bedrooms throughout the pandemic. There’s actually so much to work with here. The looks of the era were defined by a mod, 1960s aesthetic (and Ari’s Mod perfume) that’s easy to recreate with the right accessories, and maybe some pieces you already have.

You might not have realized on the stunning black-and-white album cover, but Ariana’s outfit in the photo shoot, and “Positions” single artwork, was a green two-piece skirt and bolero set.

The Positions mod aesthetic is most apparent in the song’s music video, when President Ari takes over the White House. Polka dots are trending, so you can keep wearing these picks over and over again.

Arianators have been speculating that this will be a revisitation of her full career. See: recently deleted IG post/story (?) rehearsing “Dangerous Woman.” Or was it the 10th anniversary cover with a new set of ears?

Glinda-fy yourself

I know that some Arianators have ~feelings~ about how Wicked took over our girl’s life for approximately four years, but this musical theater kid, for one, was happy to see a fellow musical theater kid living out their wildest dreams, okay?! As a lifer circa Yours Truly, her rendition of “Popular” practically cemented me as a fan. And rest assured, you won’t be the only Glinda!

Speaking of Yours Truly, there’s something equally as nostalgic about her big hoodie and tall boots phase. Same goes for the schoolgirl indie sleaze aesthetic she rocked throughout her 2010s come-up. What better way to show off your OG status than with some throwback merch, a plaid skirt, and a knee-high boot? (Oh, and all the boots are on sale right now and they’ll serve you well next fall.
