TrueConf presented a new version of corporate AI assistant that can recognize speakers by voice in meeting transcripts, even when processing a mixed stream. The new technology also enables the creation of transcripts from any audio or video conference recordings, including those created using third-party communication services.

TrueConf continues to expand AI technologies for corporate communications. Previously, the developer integrated a range of smart features across desktop and mobile apps, including active noise suppression, virtual backgrounds, speaker’s image over the shared content, face tracking, and other capabilities.

In October 2024, the company introduced TrueConf AI Server, a corporate AI solution for meeting transcription and summarization. The system operates within the customer’s private network and does not transfer data to third-party servers, ensuring compliance with common information security policies.

One of the main difficulties in conference transcription is that each participant in a meeting should have a personal audio stream. If meeting participants are in an open-plan office or a meeting room or use a single microphone together, the algorithms mix the speakers’ speech into a unified text.

To create informative and convenient transcripts of online meetings in such conditions, TrueConf AI assistant is able to independently separate the voices of participants and distribute their respective lines in the final protocol. If necessary, the user can only assign the names of the recognized speakers in the final text.

The new technology supports the processing of any audio and video files, including recordings created in third-party video conferencing systems. This makes TrueConf AI Server a universal tool for transcribing and summarizing any online meetings and events.

In addition, TrueConf AI Server 1.1 introduces further capabilities. Users can now perform a global search across all transcriptions, allowing them to quickly find necessary discussions, decisions and agreements within a large number of recordings, provided these are accessible to them in accordance with the privacy settings.

The new version also adds customisable prompts for more flexible generating of meeting summaries. Depending on the use case, TrueConf on-premises AI can prepare brief summaries, highlight key decisions, identify tasks, responsible parties, and deadlines, and generate a structured report of the discussion in a format suitable for further use.

One of the key features of TrueConf AI Server is the guarantee that no modifications are made during transcribing. It is generated using the on-premises model within the customer’s private environment, without access by staff or administrators.
