The 6th edition of IIM Kozhikode’s (IIMK) Signature International Conclave ‘Globalizing Indian Thought’ began with a call to drive the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047.
Anil D Sahasrabuddhe, Chairperson, National Educational Technology Forum, Chairperson, Executive Committee, NAAC, Chairperson, and Ambassador Vikas Swarup, Writer & Former Diplomat were the Guests of Honour.
The three-day conclave celebrates ‘India@100 (2047): Celebrating India’s journey towards becoming a developed and inclusive nation and IIMK@50’.
Vikas Swarup said India’s growing global influence stems from its philosophy of empowering rather than overpowering, reflected in initiatives that strengthen capacity building, digital infrastructure, and sustainable development, positioning India as the natural voice of the developing world.
Anil D Sahasrabuddhe, Chairperson, National Educational Technology Forum (NETF) and Executive Committee, NAAC said India, as the world’s fourth-largest economy, is steadily advancing on the Global Innovation Index and creating new avenues of opportunity. The country stands at the cusp of an unprecedented transformation.
He underscored the nation’s enduring philosophy of peaceful coexistence in a conflict-ridden world. He emphasized the vital role of educational institutions as entrepreneurial ecosystems, enabling innovation, collaboration, and purpose-driven leadership to realise the vision of Viksit Bharat in the coming decades.
Debashis Chatterjee, Director, IIM Kozhikode said: “Globalizing Indian Thought is about tapping the unmapped potential of India for the world. As we march toward Viksit Bharat @2047, our mission is to transform ancient wisdom into modern action — where work has meaning, women lead with strength, and the Indian worldview shapes a more compassionate, interconnected world.”
The conclave will culminate with the presentation of a Vision Document for Viksit Bharat, offering actionable policy insights and collaborative pathways for India’s journey towards 2047.
