As AI-powered products and services become central to how organizations operate, the need for responsible AI governance has never been greater. Customers, partners, and regulators are seeking assurance that AI systems are built, managed, and monitored responsibly and effectively.

Datadog is committed to the responsible use of AI, both in how we build our products and in how we help customers observe their AI workloads. That’s why we’re pleased to announce that Datadog has achieved ISO 42001 certification, the international standard for responsible development and use of AI management systems (AIMS).

Earning our ISO 42001 certification

ISO 42001 is the first internationally recognized standard specifically designed for AI management systems. It establishes requirements for organizations to develop, implement, maintain, and continually improve AI management systems in ways that are ethical, transparent, and compliant with applicable laws. This certification helps provide assurance about Datadog’s controls across the full AI life cycle, from development and validation to deployment and monitoring.

What this means for your organization

Many organizations are now subject to emerging AI regulations, including the EU AI Act and various US state laws. Customers and auditors are also demanding proof that technology vendors manage AI responsibly. Datadog’s ISO 42001 certification helps demonstrate that our AI capabilities meet international standards for risk management, transparency, and continuous improvement across our platform, including:

Organizations today face an explosion of new AI offerings from vendors, often with little clarity about how those systems are built and governed. Datadog’s ISO 42001 certification simplifies vendor assessment and gives organizations a clear, third-party-verified benchmark. This certification also complements your organization’s own AI governance efforts. As you build or mature your internal AI policies and controls, Datadog’s AI governance program provides a documented foundation that supports your compliance obligations.

Our ongoing commitment to trust and accountability

At Datadog, earning your trust is foundational to everything we do. ISO 42001 joins a growing list of certifications and compliance programs that reflect our commitment to security, privacy, and responsible operations. These include ISO 27001, ISO 27701 Processor, HIPAA, PCI, and TISAX. Visit our Trust Hub for more information.
