We are thrilled to announce Dash 2019, the second year of Datadog’s conference on building and scaling the next generation of applications, infrastructure, and technical teams.

This two-day conference will be attended by forward-thinking software developers and operations engineers who are taking the velocity, performance, reliability, and scale of their organizations to the next level. Dash 2019 will feature a variety of presentations, hands-on workshops, and opportunities to connect with peers and exchange ideas.

Where we are

Dash 2019 will be held in New York City on July 16 & 17, on Pier 60 at Chelsea Piers. This stunning setting is the largest waterfront venue in the city. Join us to enjoy the panoramic views of the Hudson River and NYC landmarks, from the Statue of Liberty in New York Harbor to the glass-and-steel Freedom Tower in lower Manhattan.

A look back at last year…

Last year, Dash attendees were treated to deep, engaging, and experience-driven keynotes by presenters from across the industry. Datadog CEO and co-founder Olivier Pomel spoke about a desire to break down the silos separating development and ops teams—which became the impetus for the founding of Datadog. Empatico CTO James Turnbull discussed IT’s meteoric ascent from a poorly understood supporting function to a key driver of business. And former NASA Flight Director Paul Hill shared the thorough, introspective debriefing processes the space agency applies to all operations, successful and otherwise.

In addition, participants attended breakout sessions on performance, scalability, and teams, featuring speakers like DraftKings CTO Travis Dunn, Shopify’s Aaron Brady, and Airbnb’s Tiffany Low and Willie Yao. Topics ranged from the benefits (and challenges) of migrating from a monolith to microservices, to the rise of chaos engineering, to AAA game releases, which require studios to scale from zero to millions of users overnight.

What to expect in 2019

For Dash 2019, we are scaling up and scaling out the conference itself. Attendees will be able to choose from an even larger selection of keynote sessions, breakout talks, and hands-on workshops.

Alongside engaging presentations and small group workshops, we also have a full menu of networking activities and delicious dining planned: mingle and mix with your peers, with the gorgeous Hudson River skyline as your backdrop.
