Adoption of Mobile Driver’s Licenses for Financial Institutions Webinar
Kristina Rig · 2026-04-24 · via News and Events Feed by Topic

Date/Time: April 23rd, 2026 | 1:00 P.M. – 2:00 P.M. EDT

Join the NIST NCCoE for a virtual event on April 23rd, 2026, to highlight their recently published practice guide NIST SP 1800-42A, Digital Identities Mobile Driver’s Licenses: Accelerating Development and Adoption of Digital Identity for Financial Institutions.

This document demonstrates how mDLs can be implemented as part of identity verification flows to improve customer experience while reducing cybersecurity and fraud risks. During this webinar, the team will provide an overview of this 1800-series practice guide and a status update on the second use case—using an mDL for citizen-to-government services.

Register Now!

We encourage you to register for this event and reserve your virtual seat! We look forward to sharing more about this project and how you can contribute.

Attendance is limited to 500 participants. There is no fee to attend. A post-event recording will be made available.

Recording Note: Portions of the event may be recorded, and audience Q&A or comments may be captured. The recorded event may be edited and rebroadcast or otherwise made publicly available by NIST. By registering for -- or attending -- this event, you acknowledge and consent to being recorded.
