Event Date: July 21, 2026

Event Time: 11:00 A.M. – 1:30 P.M. EDT

The NIST National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence (NCCoE) is proud to host a quarterly Cybersecurity Connections event and networking lunch in partnership with the Maryland Department of Commerce and Montgomery County, MD.

Event Overview

This event will feature a presentation from the NCCoE mDL team highlighting their recently published guidelines, which show organizations how they can use mDLs for customer identification, improving the customer experience while reducing cybersecurity and fraud risks. By attending, you’ll get an overview of the guidelines, receive a live project demonstration on the financial use case, and learn more about the next project use case, which will focus on utilizing an mDL for citizen-to-government services.

In addition, this event will feature a panel discussion with experts and collaborators who will share their perspectives on the mDL ecosystem and the roadmap for digital identity adoption. Participants will have the opportunity to engage with this panel and ask questions.

The panel discussion will be followed by a networking lunch, generously provided by the Montgomery County Economic Development Cooperation on behalf of Montgomery County. This event is a unique opportunity to learn from industry experts, connect with cybersecurity professionals, and hear more about the NCCoE’s work to accelerate the adoption of standards and best practices for mobile driver’s licenses.

Register to attend in-person or virtually. Reserve your seat today!

*Registration for this event closes on July 14, 2026.
