Microsoft Secure Score is a built-in security benchmark within Microsoft 365.
It measures how well your environment is configured across identity, devices, data and applications, and highlights practical steps to improve it.
It is not a one-off check. It is a way to track and improve your security over time.
Checking your Secure Score takes a few minutes and gives you a clear view of where you stand.
Visit security.microsoft.com and sign in using a Global Admin or Security Admin account.
In the left-hand menu, expand Exposure Management.
Click Secure Score to view your current score.
Select View Microsoft Secure Score to explore recommendations, improvement actions, and how your score compares to similar organisations.
Focus on priority actions such as enabling MFA, securing admin accounts, and strengthening device controls through tools like Microsoft Intune.
Your score updates as you make improvements, helping you track progress and maintain a strong security posture.
Secure Score is useful, but it is not the full picture.
Think of it as a starting point. It shows where to improve, but it still needs the right strategy and ongoing management behind it.
This is where a structured approach to cyber security and ongoing management becomes essential.
Clarity – See where your biggest risks are
Prioritisation – Focus on the changes that make the biggest impact
Accountability – Track improvements over time
Confidence – Know your environment is configured securely
Unlike platforms such as Google Workspace, which provide recommendations without a single headline score, Microsoft Secure Score gives you a clear way to measure progress.
Checking your Secure Score is the easy part.
The real value comes from acting on it.
We help you prioritise the right changes, implement them through a structured Microsoft 365 security and implementation programme, and keep your environment secure as your business evolves.
This often starts with Secure Score, but quickly extends into identity protection, device management, and ongoing monitoring through a joined-up cyber security strategy.
That includes continuously reviewing your Secure Score, applying improvements as new risks emerge, and making sure security never gets in the way of how your team works.
