Last summer, we collaborated with Wired 2 Fire to help redefine digital learning at King Edward VI Grammar School in Louth. Together, our Projects and Technical Team and Wired 2 Fire’s gaming team created a cutting-edge computing lab designed to inspire the next generation of coders, game developers, and digital innovators.
Our partner, Wired 2 Fire, handled the physical installation of 24 high-performance gaming-spec PCs, monitors and keyboards. Each machine built to handle demanding software and provide a seamless experience for students developing video games as part of the A Level course in Computer Science. Their team completed the full install in just one day, setting the stage for AAG to deliver the software and support required.
Following the hardware deployment, AAG took over for a two-day software installation and configuration sprint, just in time for the kids’ return to the school year in September. We ensured every PC was fully equipped with the tools needed for coding (JetBrains as the IDE) and game development (Unity Hub).
The primary purpose of this project is to support coding classes and game-building projects, giving students hands-on experience with real-world tools. It will also serve as a creative space for other sixth form students and, perhaps most excitingly, as a reward space for students who demonstrate outstanding behaviour.
Now, as we near the end of the school year, Jonathan Todd, Assistant Headteacher at King Edward VI Grammar School had this to say on the outcomes of the gaming room:
“Although founded in 1551, King Edward’s is also committed to providing a modern, progressive education to its students. Although this project was presented to AAG with incredibly tight deadlines, they rose to the challenge and delivered the final lab on time and on budget. This is testament to their commitment and technical skills and I can’t rate them highly enough as an IT partner.”

This project reflects our commitment to supporting and empowering schools with the technology they need to thrive. We’re thrilled to have partnered with Wired 2 Fire to make this vision a reality and even more excited to see what the students create next.
