Informatica Announces Headless Data Management for AWS to...
Salesforce N · 2026-05-20 · via Salesforce

LAS VEGAS — May 20, 2026 — Informatica from Salesforce, a leader in AI-powered enterprise cloud data management, today announced deeper integration with Amazon Web Services (AWS) at Informatica World 2026. Informatica delivers headless data management by making its Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers and CLAIRE® Agent skills available across AWS AI services, including AWS Agent Registry and Amazon Quick.

These integrations enable organizations to embed trusted, governed, and context-rich enterprise data directly into AI agents, eliminating one of the biggest barriers to enterprise AI adoption: unreliable and fragmented data.

Bridging the Gap Between AI Models and Enterprise Data

As organizations move toward autonomous agentic workflows, Informatica is providing the essential data intelligence required for AI agents to act with precision.

  • AWS Agent Registry: Informatica will integrate with AWS Agent Registry, a single place for customers to discover, share, and reuse AI agents, tools, and agent skills across their enterprises.
  • Informatica’s Headless Data Management through MCP Servers on AWS: Developers, AI and data teams, and business users can now easily add Informatica’s data tools into their agentic workflows on AWS through headless data management, eliminating the need for custom integrations. This update makes several Informatica MCP servers available, including tools for exploring metadata, improving data quality, and managing master data, all accessible through AWS Agent Registry and Quick.
  • CLAIRE Agent Skills on AWS: Informatica’s purpose-built CLAIRE Agents are now exposed as APIs, enabling seamless discovery and invocation within agentic workflows in Amazon Bedrock AgentCore and Quick, allowing business and technical users to automate data remediation and Master Data Management (MDM) tasks directly within their agents on AWS.

Why It Matters: The Data ‘Non-Negotiables’ for AI

Enterprise AI agents often fail not because of the AI models but because they lack access to trusted data. With organizations across industries adopting Amazon Bedrock for agentic workflows, enabling governed and trusted data at every layer is critical to driving reliable, intelligent automation. Informatica’s MCPs solve three root causes of AI failure:

  1. Metadata Context: The Metadata Explorer MCP server ensures agents understand asset classifications and business terms so they know what data is sensitive or safe to act on.
  2. Unified Master Records: The MDM MCP server prevents agents from acting on fragmented or duplicate records, ensuring accurate personalization and compliance.
  3. Point-of-Entry Quality: Data quality MCPs validate information — such as address and location data — at the point of entry, preventing errors from propagating through downstream systems.

“By plugging our data management intelligence directly into AWS agentic workflows, we are giving developers and business users the tools they need to build agents that act on trusted, governed, and contextual data,” said Rahul Auradkar, President and GM, Data Foundations, Salesforce. “This ensures that high-quality enterprise data management is accessible to all business personas, not just technical teams.”

“As a company deeply invested in AI-driven innovation, we’re excited to see Informatica bringing these solutions to market,” said Frederique Emery, VP of Services for the Digital Customer Relationship Organization at Schneider Electric. “The easier it is for AI agents to access trusted, governed data with the right enterprise context, the more value organizations can unlock from their agentic use cases.”

“Our collaboration with Informatica and Salesforce is focused on helping customers build a robust agent infrastructure on AWS with a solid data foundation,” said Swami Sivasubramanian, VP of AWS Agentic AI at AWS. “The integration of Informatica’s MCP servers into the AWS Agent Registry and Amazon Quick marks a milestone in our joint commitment to cutting-edge AI innovation.”

Availability:

  • Informatica MCP Servers on AWS Agent Registry: Available in preview for U.S. regions.
  • Informatica MCP Servers on Quick: Generally available (GA) in U.S. regions.
  • CLAIRE Agent skills on AWS Agent Registry and Quick: Available in preview globally.
