Turquoise Yachts Launches Second Superyacht This Year

N2H-Launching-6

The 249-foot-long N2H built by Turquoise Yachts is the second superyacht the Turkish shipyard has launched this year. The 285-foot Long Project Vento is in the background.

Since it takes countless designers, craftspeople, furniture builders, artists, welders, electronics experts, accountants, computer specialists, engineers and others many years to build a superyacht, I’m always amazed to hear a superyacht shipyard like Turquoise Yachts has launched two superyacht yachts measuring well over 200-feet-long each within a few months of each other. But that’s exactly what’s happened.

Turquoise Yachts first launched the 285-foot-long Project Vento earlier this year. And now they’ve just launched the 249-foot-long N2H that features naval architecture by Turquoise Yachts, exterior styling by Team For Design – Enrico Gobbi, and interior design by H2 Yacht Design.

But, before we get into the details of the newest launch, I want to share part of a conversation I had with Turquoise Yachts owner Dr. Mohammed Al Barwani in Monaco because I think it provides a glimpse of how much love, skill, effort and humanity goes into each new Turquoise superyacht.

“Do you like owning superyacht shipyards?” I ask.

“It's fun,” he says with a sincere smile. “It’s fun to build something that starts on a piece of paper, or on a computer screen, and ends up being beautiful work of art that you can escape to the ocean on with your family and friends.

“And I love that our skilled and experienced craftspeople get to practice their craft. Many of our workers have decades of experience in skills that have been passed down through the generations. And being from Turkey, they all put a high value on social grace and hospitality. It’s part of the culture. It's not something they are told to do. It's something that comes naturally for everyone.”

You can see that pride the whole shipyard had at the launch of N2H. “Launching two 80-metre platform yachts in three months is no small feat, and this achievement attests to the Turquoise team’s ability to deliver on the most demanding of tasks,” says Burak Akgül, CEO of Turquoise Yachts. “Incorporating a range of innovations, N2H underlines Turquoise’s capabilities in designing, engineering and crafting unique yachts for their owners, made possible by the tireless support of all our stakeholders, to whom we are grateful.”

Meanwhile, N2H’s exterior by Team For Design – Enrico Gobbi features clean, dynamic lines and a carefully balanced profile that conveys both elegance and sportiness. A defining feature is the arch crowning the sun deck and long, narrow glazing in the superstructure that visually extends the yacht’s length.

“From the meticulous study of lines and shapes, proportions and ergonomics, we created a design that maintains a sleek volume across three decks plus a sun deck,” Enrico Gobbi says. “Style and dynamism have been perfectly combined in this project, with nothing left to chance. Even the dual-color blue and white exterior paint was conceived to create a streamlined profile.”

The interiors benefit from generous headroom, floor-to-ceiling windows and sliding doors that let in lots of light and fresh air. H2 Yacht Design builds on this openness to create an a bright and inviting interior layout that’s designed to preserve a sense of space while defining more intimate, functional areas.

“N2H was born from a brief to create a true floating villa, with a modern Italian sensibility and a relaxed, residential feel,” says Jonny Horsfield, founder of H2 Yacht Design. “The interior pairs contemporary furniture with a soft, neutral palette. Leather and bronze detailing add warmth, while oak-ribbed walls and ceilings introduce texture. Expansive sliding doors and folding bulwarks open the interior to the sea, enhancing a flowing layout tailored to the owner’s lifestyle.”

Key interior spaces include the main deck saloon, which is divided into a lounge and cinema area. Sliding doors lead out to the aft deck, while interior steps descend to an expansive beach club designed as a spa-like retreat, complete with a gym, hammam, sauna and folding terraces on either side.

The full-beam owner’s suite on the main deck forward features a bedroom to port and an office to starboard, separated by a central dressing area. Both spaces have dedicated bathrooms and large sliding doors opening onto private folding terraces. Four generously sized guest cabins are located on the lower deck.

The upper deck offers another lounge and cinema space that flows into a circular dining area with curved glass doors, creating an indoor-outdoor experience with 180-degree views and direct access to the aft deck. Forward of the wheelhouse, a built-in sofa provides an exterior recreation area for crew, while on the bow, a touch-and-go helipad doubles as an outdoor cinema.

And I hear there’s lots more to come. Stay tuned
