Destiny 2 is ending service after its June 9 update, meaning that the servers will stay on, and there will be no new content additions to the game from there. But with that said, this is a live game that has been rotating various things weekly or seasonally or yearly for nearly a decade now. Now, fans have questions about how those issues will be addressed from here. A few of these have answers/likely possibilities, but for most, we have no clue.

Here’s a list of questions from my followers. I will add more as they come in over time:

• What happens to the seasonal artifact? Will it continue to rotate? (it almost has to, as at the very least, we cannot be stuck with six or so anti-champion weapons for eternity).
• What happens to seasonally resetting transmog bounties? (in a perfect world, all transmog would be made free, but I doubt it).
• Will the game still get balance patches? (if not, the meta would be locked literally forever, as no doubt after this final patch, some new thing may end up over or underpowered)
• Will gilds for titles continue to reset, or is that over?
• Will the title screen remove Renegades and go back to say, the D2 vanilla one? Or a new one?
• What happens to the weekly cap on Bright Dust?

• What does Eververse/Bright Dust store rotation look like from here? (Bright Dust rotation will be daily. You can focus Bright Engrams for non-duplicate loot, nothing on the cap, though).
• What about the cap on Deepsight Harmonizers?
• How will Chronologs be earned for past battle passes?
• How will future name changes be handled?
• What happens to renewing/increasing your Guardian Rank?
• Will seasonal events be put on an annual, automatic rotation? (Bungie has confirmed they will not, though some weapons can be earned through an engram at the Monument of Triumph vendor, armor will be available through Bright Engram focusing))
• How will Nightfall rotation work from here? Playlist/Dares rotation? Raid and dungeon rotation? (Bungie has said that there will still be weekly featured raids and dungeons)
• Will past, currently unobtainable loot like Mint Retrograde or old armor already in the tier system be able to be earned somewhere? (Bungie has said that each individual Portal playlist will now have its own weapons, so that may be an answer to getting all of them in there)
• What happens to some exotics and catalysts that remain unobtainable like New Land Beyond?
• Will Armsweek or Volatile mods continue to exist in any form? (I doubt it)

• What happens to the season pass? Leveled forever? (it’s been confirmed there will be a new, bigger-than-normal season pass on June 9, with the last new exotic the game will get.) A hand cannon, of course).
• Will Warlocks be the winner of Guardian Games and its statue forever?
• What happens to Iron Banner and Trials? (they already announced those would be on a set rotation; they also indicated Heavy Metal will periodically return)
• What happens to Xur? (my guess is that he can be automated and will still change.)

I will add more in time, but that’s the grand list for now. Some answers, some mysteries, and I’m not positive Bungie has even worked all these out itself yet.
