Romanian headphone brand Meze Audio has announced the launch of Arta, the company’s latest pair of high-end headphones for anyone with a high-end budget. Born from years of collaboration with Rinaro Isodynamics, the new Arta headphones use a groundbreaking driver technology.
The MZ5 HΩ drivers used in the Arta headphones have the single highest impedance of any planar magnetic headphone drivers produced to date. Meze claims the drivers offer “exceptional linearity, stability, and signal purity through a high-voltage, low-current operation.”
The sound is described as having a warm-neutral signature with a soundstage that expands naturally, projecting music with the kind of spacious sound you might hear in an acoustically treated listening room, where instruments occupy real positions within a three-dimensional stage.

The design of the Arta is a genuine departure from conventional headphone aesthetics and blends futuristic with a refined Art Nouveau elegance that Romania is known for. Meze has turned cold metal into a sculptural object that feels like a work of art in motion.
The headphones have been designed with serviceability and longevity in mind. Every component, from the earpads and headband to the drivers and earcups, can be fully disassembled, serviced or replaced.
“Arta came into existence from asking the same question over and over: what is there still between the listener and the music? Through our collaboration with Rinaro Isodynamics, we’ve arrived at something that doesn’t quite sound like headphones anymore, but simply music occupying real space,” says Alex Grigoras, Acoustic Engineer at Meze Audio.
Meze Audio’s Arta headphones will make their first public appearance at High End Vienna, on June 4, 2026. Availability will be announced soon through Meze Audio’s official channels, with a suggested retail price of $6,000 / £6,000 / €6.000.
