Sendy Audio ApolloPRO on desk

The new Sendy Audio Apollo PRO headphones have a lightweight design for more comfortable listening.

SENDY AUDIO

Headphones offer a more immersive listening experience, but some models can become uncomfortable and hot after a while and not everyone enjoys that. However, Sendy Audio believes its new Apollo PRO headphones could change that.

These new premium and open-back headphones feature planar magnetic drivers with cutting-edge nano-diaphragm technology, all in a light and comfortable design. They are designed to offer a high-end listening experience for music enthusiasts who appreciate detail, openness and musicality.

At the heart of the Apollo PRO headphones are custom 78mm planar magnetic drivers with a nano-scale composite that’s less than 800 nanometers thick and is designed to improve the response speed, clarity and the overall resolution of the headphones. Sendy Audio also says that the diaphragm helps deliver a “fast, spacious and highly detailed presentation across music, films and gaming.”

These new Apollo PRO headphones weigh 354g and have been engineered to deliver the sort of scale and openness that planar magnetic drivers are known for.

Good Vibrations

The Apollo PRO headphones are made using Sendy Audio’s Electron Beam Evaporation Deposition technology, a technique that precisely coats the aluminum circuitry onto the surface of the diaphragm. According to Sendy Audio, the result is better vibration control and more consistent frequencies, leading to clearer layering and a more refined sound.

These new headphones weigh 354g and have been engineered to deliver the sort of scale and openness that planar magnetic drivers are known for. The difference with the Apollo PRO design is that the headphones have a lighter and more comfortable construction than most, which makes them suitable for extended listening sessions.

The open-back design of the Apollo PRO is paired with zebrawood earcups and a distinctive sunburst-pattern metal mesh that gives the headphones a clean and contemporary appearance. The ear pads are made with soft and breathable velvet, while the headband is lambskin and is designed to reduce the buildup of any heat, which can cause listening fatigue after an hour or two.

The Apollo Pro headphones include a full range of connections for a wide range of sources.

Shape Shifting Design

The headphones are made using CNC-machined, aviation-grade aluminum components and have a flexible adjustment system that enables them to adapt naturally to the shape of the listener’s head, providing a more comfortable and secure fit.

Included with the Apollo PRO is a detachable and balanced cable made from Furukawa oxygen-free copper, silver-plated copper and enameled gold-plated copper. The cable is wrapped in a graphene-reinforced shielding structure, which helps keep the signal steady and clear, while enhancing the overall sonic detail and clarity of the soundstage.

The Apollo PRO’s cable is terminated with a 4.4mm balanced connector and comes with 3.5mm and 6.35mm adaptors so that the headphones can be used with a wide range of audio sources such as portable digital players or a hi-fi setup.

Sendy Audio says that by combining planar magnetic technology with a lightweight and comfortable design, the Apollo PRO are designed to deliver an immersive and engaging sound that enables them to be enjoyed for extended sessions.
