It’s been a busy few months for Satechi, maker of computer accessories, especially for Mac users. Now the San Diego-based brand has announced the launch of ChargeView, a brand-new 140W desktop charger. Using the latest GaN technology, ChargeView has a digital display that can show its power output in real time.
ChargeView has adaptive charging intelligence, which ensures optimal output for any of the devices it’s charging. It’s designed to sit on a desk and has a clean and modern design that fits in well with most Mac setups. ChargeView is suitable for powering and charging a MacBook Pro using one of its four USB‑C ports that share an overall power budget of 140W for use with laptops, tablets, smartphones and other accessories.
“When creating the ChargeView 140W Desktop Charger, we wanted it to feel like a natural part of your workspace,” says Barry Phillips, Satechi’s head of product management. “By making power visible, we’re giving users more clarity and confidence in how their devices are charging while delivering the performance they expect from Satechi.”

At the core of the ChargeView is its built-in digital display that shows the real-time wattage being output from each of the four ports. Whether it’s charging a laptop, tablet, smartphone or accessories, users can see immediately how much energy is being distributed to each port from the available 140W.
Powered using next-generation GaN architecture, ChargeView can deliver efficient and stable charging and is more efficient than chargers built on silicon technology. There is support for the latest Apple iPhones via USB Power Delivery. Featuring USB PD 3.2 with AVS for advanced power optimization, ChargeView is designed to ensure each device receives optimal output, while the built-in safety features protect devices from overheating, overcurrent and overvoltage.
Unlike traditional power bricks that plug into wall outlets, the ChargeView uses a detachable mains cable and is designed to sit on a desk. Its available in a Space Black finish and stand, enabling it to be positioned vertically to save space or horizontally for tidier cable management.
Satechi’s ChargeView 140W Desktop Charger is available now on Satechi.com and Amazon priced at $99.99.
