Rapid advances in AI, data platforms and digital ecosystems have fundamentally changed how businesses operate. In today’s post-agentic AI environment, traditional automation models simply cannot keep pace with the speed, scale and complexity of modern enterprise demands.
This reality gives way to a new operating model: the autonomous connected enterprise (ACE). An autonomous connected enterprise operates intelligently to sense conditions, interpret context, make decisions and take action across the value chain, all while maintaining human governance and accountability. Our research shows that 62% of organizations plan to increase their investment in integrating AI into business operations. This is no longer a calculated bet, but instead a business imperative.

Our research shows that 40% of organizations expect to see positive return on investment within one to three years, with another 35% anticipating returns within three to five years. The challenge is not whether autonomy works, but how enterprises will get there.
