EA UFC 6

EA UFC 6 early access and full retail release is just over a month away. EA dropped the closed beta this week and several fans and content creators got an opportunity to test the game. There's some mixed reviews on gameplay and visuals, but we'll know more once we get closer to release and we see what EA does with the feedback they receive from the beta.

For now, here's everything to know about the release date, pre-order editions, confirmed features and the roster picture heading into June.

When Does EA UFC 6 Release and How Can You Pre-Order It?

EA UFC 6 launches on Friday, June 19, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with Ultimate Edition pre-orders unlocking seven days of early access starting June 12.

The Standard Edition runs roughly $69.99 to $79.99 and includes the Iconic Moments Bundle pre-order bonus with skins for Chan Sung Jung, Miesha Tate and Leon Edwards.

The Ultimate Edition is priced around $99.99 on the PlayStation Store and Xbox Store, adding the early access window, a VIP Pass with cosmetics and progression boosts, the Rivalry Bundle, and 500 UFC Points. Pre-loads open shortly before early access.

Launch time is set for 8 a.m. PT / 11 a.m. ET / 4 p.m. BST.

What Are the Biggest New Features in EA UFC 6?

EA's marketing leans hard on three pillars: a new Real-Time Contact Engine with ragdoll physics, an overhauled striking and motion system, and a new Flow State mechanic that boosts a fighter's signature strengths once they've hurt their opponent. Real-time damage, dynamic cuts, and swelling feed into ref and doctor stoppage logic.

The ragdoll system is the biggest visual swing. Strikes now produce dynamic stumbles, knockdowns, and fence interactions instead of canned KO animations, with limbs reacting to impact in a way that hasn't been in the series since the older THQ days. Signature animations are heavily mocapped for top stars to make stances and tells look closer to real life, and EA's frame-by-frame trailer breakdown showed how those upgrades land in motion.

Two career-style modes — Hall of Legends and The Legacy — are confirmed for the post-launch Expansion Pass. Both are positioned as long-term progression experiences with curated fights and challenges, lining up with the broader "next-level fighter individuality" pitch that EA and the UFC built the marketing around.

Who Will Be on the EA UFC 6 Roster?

EA hasn't dropped the full roster list yet, but the framework is locked. Alex Pereira is the global cover athlete on the Standard Edition. Max Holloway headlines the Ultimate Edition cover. All current UFC champions and interim champions are explicitly called out as guaranteed in the marketing, with Randy Couture and Ken Shamrock confirmed for the Winter 2026 and Summer 2027 expansion drops. Brock Lesnar feels less like a wishlist pick and more like a probable headline legend if the licensing falls into place, given the WWE/UFC synergy under TKO.

EA's "no-holes" roster pitch leans on the largest active roster in series history, building on UFC 5 and adding fighters signed through early 2026.

That points toward every Top-15 ranked fighter across every active division at launch or shortly after via free updates. Current champions who are locks in that framework include Tom Aspinall, Khamzat Chimaev, Carlos Ulberg, Islam Makhachev, Ilia Topuria, Alexander Volkanovski, Petr Yan, Joshua Van, Valentina Shevchenko, Mackenzie Dern and Kayla Harrison.

Beyond the champs and ranked contenders, here's the deep pool of names expected to populate the roster between launch, free updates and the Expansion Pass — most of which return from UFC 5 with updated likenesses, with newer signees and post-launch legends layered in:

EA UFC 5 also carried a handful of unlockable non-fighter characters — including Bruce Lee, Muhammad Ali, Mike Tyson, Bruce Buffer and Dana White — and there's no indication those slots are being cut for UFC 6.

Should You Pre-Order EA UFC 6 Right Now?

The case for pre-ordering the Ultimate Edition is the seven-day early access window starting June 12, plus the cosmetic and progression bonuses bundled in.

If you’re like me, you can’t wait to play the game. That seven days might as well be the official release date for me.

The case against is the closed beta feedback being mixed on gameplay and visuals, with EA still working through patches before launch. Anyone on the fence should wait for post-beta gameplay coverage and the reveal trailer breakdown analysis before committing.

For everyone else, the Standard Edition at $69.99 covers the full game, the Iconic Moments Bundle pre-order bonus, and Day One access on June 19. That's the safest spot for casual fans waiting to see how the new physics engine and Flow State system land in real matches.
