Data storage specialist TerraMaster has announced the global launch of its new four-bay flagship NAS device. The TerraMaster F4-425 Pro will be available from June 23, 2026, just in time to coincide with Amazon Prime Day.
Powered by TOS 7, described as the world’s first AI-native operating system, the F4-425 Pro is private cloud storage solution that has natural language interaction with localized intelligent computing and enterprise-grade performance.
The new F4-425 Pro has four drive bays for 3.5 or 2.5-inch HDDs and SSDs with a SATA interface. The HDDs can all be hot-swapped. There are also three separate bays for NVMe M.2 2280 SSDs with a capacity of 8TB for each bay which gives a total of 24TB. This means the NAS can be split into hot and cold storage zones.
In total, the F4-425 Pro can hold up to a maximum of 120TB of data with the advantage of splitting storage across HDD and NVMe bays so that files for video editing or current projects can be stored on the ultra-fast SSDs, while archive files and backups can be stored on the HDDs.

The F4 425 Pro is powered by an 8-core Intel processor and supports transfer speeds of up to 1,010 MB/s. The F4 425 Pro model with its Intel N350 processor and 16GB of DDR5 RAM has an ultra-low power draw of just 7W.
The F4 425 Pro with the Intel N305 processor comes with 8GB DDR5 RAM and, like the N350 version, has dual 5GbE LAN ports. By using link aggregation, users can achieve combined throughputs of up to 1,010 MB/s, which is some 10 times faster than using standard gigabit Ethernet.
So, what can users do with that kind of speed? The F4 425 Pro can handle native 4K/8K real-time video editing ove the network and it can host multi-user concurrent database with file access for dozens of users, as well as simultaneous operation of multiple virtual machines and Docker containers.
The F4 425 Pro model has an Intel N350 processor, which has an ultra-low power draw of just 7W. The NAS also includes 8GB DDR5 RAM and dual 5GbE LAN ports. There are also USB ports for adding local direct storage.

For example, users can ask the NAS to: “Create a 2TB shared folder for the design team and set up weekly automatic snapshots.” OpenClaw will then interpret and complete the tasks automatically without the need to memorize complex commands or the need to resort to complicated reference manuals.
