if you stumbled in here, tl;dr use older kernel 6.17.x or even LTS for the quick fix

Summary : RDNA4 GPU (mine 9070XT) will have black screen / hangs / error after you do some Ai task related (LM Studio / ComfyUI), and playing games after that, the only solution for this is rebooting your OS and go playing games straightaway

i’ve already tried many kernel launch, still no luck, and i stumbled into the upstream bug issue

and it seems the same output as mine, so this thread is for just some quick info about the issue, if you want to use Ai task related + playing games in one session (meaning without reboot) go switch / install to older kernel, ex : 6.17.x or LTS (i’m using hardened version cachyos since it’s still 6.17.x) then you don’t need to do a reboot after you do an Ai task then straightaway playing games.

hope this will be fixed in 6.19 later
