Were you able to fix this? I am having the same issue. I have tried making a new folder within mnt as media and also tried making media folder outside of it. I saw the fstab and it shows it has the uuid in there. All my drives I connect has to be remounted through partition manager with each reboot. I also tried to give permissions to group to RWX and still have the same problem.
