Use the one you like. They aren’t forced on you. Same goes for having micro and nano . And Alacrity and Konsole. CachyOS is expressly not doing anything too opinionated, to satisfy more people at once. If you don’t like having several preinstalled things that do similar tasks, you can still uninstall them or use a minimal distro like Arch instead. Also in the installation you can untick quite a lot of boxes for any application you don’t want (but I only found this out later, just like you : P)
