I have found that if you copy the calmares-online.sh script that is called by hello, then strip out any line calling paru I can get most of the way through the install before it has a sad. It appears to be installing the live environment which is fine. I’m going to look at how reborn supports offline install as that’s calamares based too. I’ll see how it goes.
