A MAN IN his 20s has died following a collision on the outskirts of Killarney in Co Kerry.
The single-vehicle crash happened on the N72 near Calfmount at Barraduff at around 2.20am this morning.
The man, who was driving the car, was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was taken to University Hospital Kerry, where a post-mortem examination will take place.
The road where the crash happened is currently closed, with local diversions in place. Motorists who are travelling between Rathmore and Killarney are asked to travel via Glenflesk instead.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to the crash to come forward, particularly those who may have dash-cam footage and were travelling on the N72 in the area between 1.45am and 2.20am.
