“We were visiting a friend with a house in this development and it was just so nice. We found out there was a site available and had a deposit on it within 24 hours,” they recall.

As ‘impulse buys’ go, it wasn’t the worst by any means — 25 Prospect Farm was built in 1996 and became Gerard and Brenda Morgan’s family home for three decades. They’re downsizing now that their two children are grown with families of their own.

“It was all about the views for us — along with a local engineer, we worked to design the house around those views which are just spectacular.

“On a clear day you can view over to Waterford and see the Knockmealdown and the Comeragh mountains.”
