(Stats taken from DraftKings Sportsbook’s Stats Hub)
Byron Buxton 1+ Home Run (+203): The Buck Truck is back in Minnesota after helping his team win five of six games on its road trip to Texas and Arizona. Buxton homered twice on the trip and has seven homers in his last 14 games, giving him 24 on the season. He has hit 13 of his 24 homers at home, where he has a .469 wOBA and an impressive 202 wRC+ on the season. He’ll face the Dodgers to start this homestand, but he gets a good matchup on Monday night against lefty Eric Lauer, who has a 5.37 ERA and has served up 16 homers (12 to righties) in his 12 games this season. In a great matchup with so much production at home and in recent games, it’s easy to see why the public is backing Buxton this Monday.
Kyle Schwarber 1+ Home Run (+249): While Buxton is starting to put some pressure on him, Schwarber still has the MLB lead with 29 homers on the season. He hit three homers on Saturday against the Mets and added another on Sunday Night Baseball, giving him six round-trippers in his last 10 games. While 19 of his 29 homers have been at home, he should be in a good spot on the road on Monday night since he’s facing the Nationals in Washington, where he played part of a season in 2021 and bashed 25 homers. The lefty is in a less-than-ideal matchup against lefty Foster Griffin, but he has been so locked in the last few days that he’s a strong play in his return to Nationals Park regardless of the matchup, and the fact that he’s taking on a lefty boosts his odds to near +250.
Jake Bauers 1+ Home Run (+300): Reds starting pitcher Brady Singer has served up 17 home runs in his 14 starts this season, including nine in his six starts at Great American Ball Park, and 11 to left-handed hitters, who have a .324 batting average and .408 wOBA against him on the year. Bauers is 0-for-7 with four walks against Singer in the past, but he should be in a good spot to produce a home run this Monday since the ballpark and matchup line up so well for him. On the season, the 30-year-old lefty has 13 homers. He has a career-high 54.9% hard-hit rate in his 66 games and has brought nice power production from the left side in the middle of Milwaukee’s lineup against righties like Singer. With odds at 3:1, the public is looking for some Bauers power this Monday night in Cincinnati.
Taking three of the most-bet player props individually is always an option, but why not roll them into a same game parlay (SGP) and get in on all the action at once? It’s a fun way to tie everything together — feel free to tag along.
