Best NBA Playoffs player prop bets for Friday 5/15/26
Bryan Armett · 2026-05-15 · via DraftKings Network

Bryan Armetta shares his two favorite player prop bets on DraftKings Sportsbook for Friday’s two-game NBA playoffs slate.

We’re mere days away from the conference finals. However, there’s still plenty left unsettled across both conferences. This evening’s NBA postseason matchups feature a pair of Game 6 showdowns. To get us started, it’ll be the Pistons hoping to stave off elimination on the road against the Cavaliers. Anthony Edwards’ Timberwolves, down 3-2 in their series, will host Victor Wembanyama’s Spurs as a nightcap.

Who should bettors target ahead of tonight’s playoff matchups? Here are my two favorite NBA prop bet picks on DraftKings Sportsbook for Friday’s contests.

Top NBA prop bet picks

James Harden 5+ rebounds (-130)

It was a vintage performance from James Harden on Wednesday. During a grueling Game 5 overtime matchup, The Beard recorded 30 points, eight rebounds and six assists. Granted, the former MVP has never been the most consistent playoff performer. Through 12 games this postseason, he’s averaging 20.8 points, 5.1 rebounds and 6.4 assists along with 42/35/86 shooting splits. That’s partially due to circumstance; Donovan Mitchell remains Cleveland’s undisputed top scoring option. As a result, Harden’s contributions don’t always involve getting buckets.

One of the biggest storylines in this series has been the subpar play of Jalen Duren. Detroit’s big man has been virtually unplayable for stretches on the offensive end of the floor. As a result, head coach J.B. Bickerstaff has given backup center Paul Reed a minutes boost. However, the third-stringer is 50 pounds lighter than Duren, leaving the Pistons more vulnerable on the boards. Detroit has notched a 67.7% defensive rebounding rate this postseason, tenth out of 16 teams. In comparison, Harden has snagged at least five boards in six of his last eight playoff appearances. The future Hall of Famer is poised for a productive showing on the glass tonight.

Dylan Harper 19+ points + rebounds + assists (-122)

For all of the (deserved) hype around Wembanyama, the Spurs are far from a one-man show. It’s no coincidence the team nearly pulled off a Game 4 victory after their franchise cornerstone was ejected. No role player has impressed more this postseason than Dylan Harper. To be fair, the former number two overall pick isn’t a complete unknown. However, he spent the regular season as a bench piece, subbing in for De’Aaron Fox and Stephon Castle. Through ten playoff outings, the 19-year-old is putting up 13.6 points, 5.1 rebounds and 2.2 assists while shooting 55% from the field. Even more impressive, he’s notched those numbers despite playing around 25 minutes per game.

The Timberwolves pride themselves on defensive effort, which has showed throughout the postseason. With that being said, this group can sometimes struggle to contain opposing ball handlers. That’s been the case when it comes to Harper, who has gotten good looks throughout this series. Even when his shot isn’t falling, the 6’5″ guard has made his presence felt. The Rutgers alum has tallied at least 19 points + rebounds + assists in six of his last eight contests. It’s worth noting that Fox has been somewhat inconsistent on offense this postseason (44% FG). That’s not enough to push Harper into San Antonio’s starting lineup, but it could lead to more minutes off the bench.
