Ryan Wohl breaks down his best bet for Wednesday’s IBF Welterweight Championship bout between Lewis Crocker and Liam Paro.
For the third straight time, Liam Paro is fighting in his hometown of Queensland, Australia. He challenges Lewis Crocker on Wednesday for the IBF Welterweight Championship. Paro is 27-1 with 16 knockouts, while Crocker is 22-0 with 11 wins by knockout. The Main Card for this event begins at 5:00 a.m. ET on DAZN.
Check out my pick for Lewis Crocker vs. Liam Paro below.
Although Crocker is undefeated, his last two wins weren’t decisive. He fought Paddy Donovan in his previous two fights and won by split decison and disqualification. Crocker’s last commanding win came in June 2024 against Conah Walker. Paro is currently on a two-fight winning streak since he suffered his first career loss to Richardson Hitchins in December 2024.
On BoxRec, Paro is ranked No. 5 in their welterweight division, with Crocker being No. 14. On DraftKings Sportsbook, the challenger is a -200 favorite with Crocker being a +155 underdog.
When fighting in his home country of Australia, Paro has a perfect 24-0 record. Paro is a former IBF Super Lightweight Champion and looks to win gold for the first time in two years. If Paro is aggressive and uses his elite power, he should be able to get the best of Crocker. Since two of Paro’s previous three wins have come by decision, I’m taking him at +110 to pick up the victory on the judges’ scorecards.
