There will be two Game 6’s tonight, tipping off at 7 PM EST with the Pistons visiting the Cavaliers while down 2-3. The Spurs will visit the Timberwolves at 9:30 PM while up 3-2.
There are plenty of opportunities to get involved in the action this evening. One of the more unique features on DraftKings this year is Pick6 Fantasy Basketball!
This article will look at my top Pick6 plays for tonight’s slate. We simply choose whether a player will record more or less of the set statistic. Here are my favorite plays for tonight’s action.
Cunningham should be a lock to score More than 23.5 tonight, as he’s eclipsed this line in all but two games of his 18 game postseason run. The Pistons rely heavily on Cunningham for offense, and that’s evident due to his whopping 21.6 FGA in the playoffs this year. I’m expecting Cunningham to once again man the ship for this Pistons team that’s sorely in need of bucket-getting, especially with their backs up against the wall in a must-win matchup against the Cavaliers to stay alive and force a Game 7.
Cunningham averaged 23.9 PPG in the regular season and is averaging 30 PPG in the playoffs. He’s shooting .444/.424/.855 and will need to be a high-volume scorer tonight to keep the Pistons’ season alive.
On the contrary, Jalen Duren has been disappointing in this playoff run. Duren averaged 19.5 PPG in the regular season but sits at just 10.1 PPG in the playoffs, which is the second-highest dropoff for any All-Star in NBA history, after Wilt Chamberlain’s 50.4 PPG dropping to 35 PPG in the 1962 playoffs.
I’ve hammered Duren’s issues many times over the past few weeks, and his limited offensive skill set will be a big question mark that looms over his contract extension talks. Currently, he’s borderline unplayable against teams that have the size to limit him. His inability to create his own offense has been a huge issue for the Pistons and is part of the reason why they aren’t looking like contenders at the moment. Perhaps he’ll be more effective later on against teams that don’t have the size to bother him as much as the Magic and Cavs have, if the Pistons make it there.
Wemby’s been a beast on the boards in these playoffs. It shouldn’t be difficult for him to dominate the glass given how tall he is, currently measured at 7’4, but the heightened playoff minutes combined with the extra hustle have created a rebounding machine. Wemby is averaging 20.4 PPG with 11.2 RPG over the course of the playoffs this year and has collected 15 or more rebounds in four out of five games in this series against the Timberwolves. As long as the law of averages holds up and Wemby continues to play big minutes (he probably only needs 30), he should be in a great spot to grab More than 13.5 rebounds tonight as the Spurs look to close out the Timberwolves in six.

Once you finalize your Pick Set, choose your entry fee amount. Your entries will be automatically distributed into available contests, subject to your confirmation.
