Possible RDNA 4 / GFX1201 Vulkan issue in Geekbench 7.0.0...

Hello Geekbench Support,

I would like to report a possible Vulkan benchmark issue with the AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT in Geekbench 7.0.0.

Here is my result:

The result is:

    GPU: AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT
    OS: Windows 11 Pro
    Geekbench: 7.0.0 for Windows AVX2
    Vulkan Score: 71,300

The individual workloads look normal/high for the GPU:

    Background Blur: 180,224
    Face Tracking: 221,686
    Super Resolution: 313,888
    Horizon Detection: 249,374
    Photo Filter: 228,814
    Video Filter: 190,527
    RAW: 311,885
    Feature Matching: 314,788
    Path Tracer: 151,622
    Particle Physics: 119,287

However:

    Fluid Simulation: 0

This appears to be the reason the overall score is dramatically lower than expected.

I have also noticed multiple other RX 9070 XT results in the Geekbench Browser with the same behavior: most workloads perform normally, while Fluid Simulation reports 0.

This is particularly suspicious because other Radeon generations do not appear to suffer from the same dramatic regression, and some RX 9070 XT results using different Vulkan driver paths achieve substantially higher overall scores.

Could you please investigate whether Geekbench 7.0.0 has a Vulkan compatibility issue with RDNA 4 / GFX1201, specifically with the Fluid Simulation workload?

My Geekbench 6 Vulkan results were around 185,000 on Windows and around 210,000 on Linux, so the Geekbench 7 result of 71,300 does not appear to represent the actual performance of the GPU.

I would be happy to provide additional system information, driver versions, screenshots, or reproduce the test if needed.
