CERN Science Gateway has received a Special Commendation at the European Museum of the Year Awards (EMYA) ceremony held in Bilbao, Spain, on 13 June 2026. The EMYA jury mentioned that "The CERN Science Gateway fosters a passion for knowledge and discovery by inspiring future scientists, engineers, and critical thinkers. In doing so, it strengthens scientific literacy and curiosity accross borders, making the new science centre and museum an outstanding example of public engagement with science".
