Although the CERN campus is closed for two weeks as usual, CERN Science Gateway will be open during the end-of-year break for families and invidiual visitors (up to 11 visitors per request).

This is a great opportunity to visit our interactive exhibitions, view the CERN movies (including Cédric Klapisch documentary), attend a science show (twice a day), a lab workshop (twice a day) or visit our temporary exhibition Faces of CERN, People advancing science in the Globe of Science and Innovation. Our shop and the Big Bang Café are also open. Remember to check the programme to help plan your visit.

Admission to the Science Gateway is free, but registration is required.

Please note that guided tours will not be available between Saturday, 20 December 2025 and Monday, 5 January 2026 inclusive as access to the CERN sites will be restricted during that period.

We will be exceptionally closed on 24, 25, 31 December 2025 and 1 January 2026.
We will be closed on Mondays as usual.
