Synthesia uses AI to generate videos for some of the largest American companies. Now, CEO Victor Riparbelli is building avatars you can have a full conversation with.
Snap a few photos of your face, and record yourself talking for a minute, and Synthesia can spin up an avatar that looks just like you and can say anything you’d like. The London-based startup is now used by dozens of the largest companies in the U.S. to generate videos for onboarding, sales training and safety compliance. Now valued at $4 billion after a $200 million round led by GV this January, Synthesia hit $100 million in annual run rate last year and is on track for $200 million in 2026.
Forbes sat down with CEO Victor Riparbelli to discuss the company’s surging growth and its newest initiative, coming later this year: AI avatars that you can have a full conversation with, just like you can with ChatGPT.
