Accessibility Update - Spring 2026: Form Elements | Addigy
Addigy · 2026-04-21 · via Addigy

Accessibility continues to be a concern for our team, and we’re making steady progress toward WCAG 2.0 AA compliance across the Addigy platform.

A big part of that work happens at the interactive elements in our interface: form controls. The checkboxes, radio buttons, text fields, dropdowns, and toggles that admins interact with every day. When these don’t work well with assistive technologies, the entire experience breaks down for users who rely on screen readers, keyboard navigation, or other accommodations.

What We Improved

We rebuilt our core form controls from the ground up with accessibility as a first-class requirement. The new components are designed to work correctly with screen readers, respond predictably to keyboard navigation, and meet WCAG 2.0 AA color contrast and interaction standards.

The improvements cover the full range of form inputs used throughout the product:

  • Text fields (including password, email, and search)
  • Checkboxes
  • Radio buttons
  • Dropdowns
  • Toggles
  • Text areas
  • File uploads

These new components will be rolled out across the Addigy web application in the coming weeks.

What This Means for Admins

Designing with accessibility in mind benefits everyone — not just users who rely on assistive technologies. Reliable keyboard navigation, for example, is a proven productivity tool: experienced users can move through forms, configure policies, and take action significantly faster with keyboard shortcuts than with a mouse. These improvements make Addigy faster and more efficient for all of our customers.

For admins with visual, motor, or cognitive disabilities, WCAG AA compliance means the platform works for them by design, not as a workaround. And as we continue this work, these improvements lay the groundwork for broader accessibility gains across the product.
