The OnePlus Nord Buds 4 Pro marks the brand’s first TWS release of 2026, aiming to bridge the gap between premium features and budget pricing. After testing them extensively, I have evaluated whether they truly deliver a pro-level experience.

Design & comfort

Designed for portability and comfort, the OnePlus Nord Buds 4 Pro is available in Radiant Gray and Raven Black; I tested the latter for this review. The earbuds are notably compact at 31mm x 20mm x 17.52mm, while the charging case measures 60.00mm x 49.64mm x 25.04mm. Each earbud is lightweight at approximately 4.4g, and the total package weighs about 43g, making for a slim, unobtrusive fit in a pocket. Additionally, an IP55 rating ensures the buds remain resistant to both dust and water splashes. The earbuds had a matte finish which was smooth yet easy to grip.

Sound & ANC

Noise cancellation on the Nord Buds 4 Pro is effective at silencing low-frequency drones and ambient office noise. However, the ANC is not flawless; it creates a noticeable vacuum pressure in the ear, and sounds at both ends of the frequency spectrum occasionally bleed through.

The earbuds provide a secure fit that remains stable during rigorous exercise. Throughout my one-hour routines involving brisk jogs and workouts, the buds sat flush with the ear without causing discomfort over extended periods.

The Nord Buds 4 Pro feature both OnePlus 3D Spatial Audio and OnePlus Game Sound Spatial Audio. This immersive experience is compatible with all major music, video, and podcast platforms. For gamers, spatial support is available for titles like BGMI, Free Fire, and Call of Duty: Mobile, sans head tracking. While these features might seem like minor additions, they enhance the overall audio experience and help justify the “Pro” branding.

On the audio front, the single 12mm dynamic driver delivers high volume and deep bass. However, this comes at the cost of the soundstage. Vocal and instrumental details tend to flatten out on tracks like All The Stars by Kendrick Lamar and SZA, where the bass becomes overpowering. The inclusion of Basswave technology further dampens the tuning by over-emphasizing the low-end performance.

Call quality remains a strong suit. Equipped with six microphones, the Nord Buds 4 Pro handles voice pickup efficiently; recipients reported that my voice was clear and background noise was well-suppressed.

Connectivity

Out of the box, the Nord Buds 4 Pro features Bluetooth 6.0 with support for high-resolution LHDC 5.0, alongside standard AAC and SBC codecs. Pairing is fast on Android via Google Fast Pair, while Microsoft Swift Pair handles connections for PCs and laptops.

The Nord Buds 4 Pro also supports Dual-Device Connection, allowing for simultaneous connection to two sources. I found the connection stable, and it switched to the active device promptly. Managed through the HeyMelody app, users can also set which device takes priority.

Features & app

The HeyMelody app is what most OnePlus TWS products use to control various aspects of the product. In the case of the Nord Buds 4 Pro, it is used to switch between Noise cancellation and transparency mode, besides dual connection/multipoint settings plus OnePlus 3D audio found in certain apps and games besides switching between the EQ profiles of balance, serenade and Bass, gaming mode with low audio during games, besides soundspace to help with relaxation and also find my earbud feature, besides the touch control settings. The app, while very basic, is fully functional and has all the necessary controls for the TWS in one place.

The Nord Buds 4 Pro supports standard Touch Controls and includes Volume Swipe Control directly on the stems. This feature is quite refined and swiping up and down on the respective stems helped with precise control of volume up or down and I was quite impressed at the OnePlus getting the right amount of touch sensitivity.

Battery

The earbuds are equipped with 62mAh batteries, while the charging case provides 530mAh. On average, the buds deliver approximately 7 hours of playback with ANC on and upto 10+ hours with AAC, ANC off, and 50 per cent volume. When combined with the case, the total music playback extends to 54 hours. A full charge for both the buds and the case via USB-C takes about 90 minutes.

Verdict

The Nord Buds 4 Pro offers a secure fit and respectable noise cancellation for ₹3,999, making it a strong value proposition for the price. While the tuning is overtly bass-heavy and lacks finer detail in the soundstage, these trade-offs are negligible if your goal is simply casual music listening. However, the competition is stiff: the Realme Buds Air 6 Pro provides a much more expansive soundstage, while the CMF Buds Pro 2 offers superior case functionality at a similar cost. Ultimately, if you enjoy a bass-forward signature, the Nord Buds 4 Pro remains an ideal TWS pick under ₹4k.

Snapshot

Price: ₹3,999.

Pros: Comfortable fit, capable noise cancellation, solid value, ideal for casual bass-heavy listening.

Cons: Overtly bassy tuning, lack of fine detail, narrow soundstage
