Google’s Pixel series has long been synonymous with camera excellence, clean Android, and clever AI magic — and the Pixel 10 takes that legacy a step further. With the new Tensor G5 chip under the hood, smarter on-device AI, and the same minimalist design ethos that Pixel loyalists love, this year’s model feels less like a radical overhaul and more like a confident refinement. It’s Google at its most assured — fusing practicality with intelligence, and reminding everyone why the Pixel still defines what Android can be at its purest.
Measuring in at 152.8 mm x 72 mm x 8.6 mm, the Pixel 10 is a comfortable, compact version of the Pixel 10 Pro XL. At times it may feel a bit too compact while holding it , especially if you’re used to larger smartphones, but for the most part, its size makes it effortlessly pocketable and easy to use one-handed.
The colour I reviewed was the Obsidian colour, and there are Indigo, Frost, and Lemongrass for those looking for some funkier colours.
The Pixel 10 is built to last. Its 6.3 inch display is protected by a scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, offering solid defence against drops and daily wear. The same Victus 2 glass extends to the back, featuring a smooth satin finish that feels as premium as it looks, complemented by a spacecraft-grade aluminium frame. With IP68 dust and water resistance, you won’t have to worry about spills or even a sudden North East Monsoon shower. The only trade-off? That glossy glass back is a magnet for smudges and fingerprints.
The Pixel 10 sports a 6.3-inch Actua display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and a crisp pixel density of 422 PPI. It’s vibrant, sharp, and a treat to look at — whether you’re scrolling through photos or streaming your favourite shows. With up to 2,000 nits of HDR brightness and a 3,000-nit peak, it remains clearly visible even under harsh sunlight. Watching Dhanush’s Idli Kadai on Netflix was especially enjoyable — the panel beautifully captured the rustic tones of South Tamil Nadu across day and night scenes.
The Pixel 10’s stereo speakers deliver impressively clear, well-balanced audio for a device this size. Masakali from Delhi-6 still hits just right — Mohit Chauhan’s vocals come through crisp and bright, while the percussion sounds punchy even at full volume. The Pixel 10 doubles up as a mini jukebox, proving that there’s more to it than just great cameras.

The Pixel 10 features an excellent triple camera setup on the rear— a 48 MP wide lens, 13 MP ultra-wide sensor and a 10.8 MP telephoto lens
The Pixel 10 features an excellent triple camera setup on the rear. The camera system is remarkably versatile, built around a powerful 48 MP wide lens that also kicks in for Macro Focus photography. It is complemented by a 13 MP ultra-wide sensor for expansive scenes and a dedicated 10.8 MP telephoto lens, which offers clear, native 5x optical zoom. For even greater reach, the system utilises advanced Super Res Zoom up to 20x, which delivers a fair amount of details to begin with, but gets a lot softer and grainier the more I zoom in.
Pictures were clear and crisp with a lot of contrast, colour, and details in the pictures taken in daylight, with a good amount of details till about 10x zoom. Most sky shots have a bit of HDR baked in, which at times puts the image processing pipeline on the slower side, but the end results do look impactful.
When it comes to low-light photography, the Pixel 10 truly shines. Night Mode captures impressive detail and balanced contrast without blowing out highlights. Shooting with it during Diwali gave me some of the best night photos I’ve taken in a while — crisp, vibrant, and full of atmosphere.
The front-facing camera on the Pixel 10 utilises a 10.5 MP Dual PD sensor. This hardware setup is paired with an f/2.2 aperture, which is beneficial for low-light performance, and a 95 degree ultrawide field of view. Selfies taken with the front camera are detailed and retain natural skin tones beautifully.
This year, Google’s approach to computational photography feels more inclusive — it’s about helping more people take great photos, not just leaving it to the pros to figure out its granular settings. The new Camera Coach feature, for instance, offers real-time framing tips and shot suggestions, making it easier for beginners to compose better pictures.
The Pixel 10 is powered by Google’s in-house Tensor G5 chip, paired with the Titan M2 security coprocessor. Google’s been refining its Tensor lineup since the Pixel 6, and this fifth-generation chip feels noticeably more efficient — both in raw performance and in managing heat during extended use.
In benchmark tests, the Pixel 10 scored 2,305 in single-core and 6,248 in multi-core performance — edging past the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra (2,136) in single-core results, though just a shade below the Galaxy S24 (6,255) in multi-core. It’s a clear sign that the Pixel 10 can hold its own among this year’s flagship contenders.
The Pixel 10 runs Android 16 out of the box, and the experience is exactly what you’d expect from a Google flagship — smooth, uncluttered, and reliable. Even during extended use or while playing Shadow Fight 4, the phone stayed comfortably cool, with only nominal warmth considering the glass back and Tensor G5 chip. Animations are fluid, transitions seamless, and with 12GB of RAM, multitasking feels effortless.
The Pixel 10 also brings the full suite of Google Gemini features — including Circle to Search, Gemini Live, and more. True to its lineage, the phone handles AI prompts and generative tasks slightly faster than most other Android devices, thanks to tight software integration and optimised on-device AI.
Magic Cue is one of the Pixel 10’s most intriguing AI-driven additions. It intelligently pulls up contextual information and relevant actions right when you need them — whether that’s adding a calendar invite, looking up an address from a message, or fetching details from an email. After the initial download, it took about a day to learn usage patterns and build context on-device, after which it felt noticeably faster and more intuitive in its responses.
The Pixel 10 houses a 4,970mAh battery that comfortably delivers around 7 to 7.5 hours of screen-on time and lasts roughly a day and a half on a single charge. Switching on Extreme Battery Saver adds another half day of use, though it does so by limiting background activity and disabling the Always-on Display.
Charging speeds are standard for the segment — the phone goes from zero to full in about 1 hour and 10 minutes with a 30W USB-C charger. It also supports Pixelsnap wireless charging (Qi2 certified) at up to 15W, which proved especially convenient for overnight charging on a bedside wireless charger.
The Pixel 10 once again delivers a compelling package for Android enthusiasts, combining a clean stock experience with a vibrant display, versatile cameras, solid battery life, and refined AI features. Its only potential drawback is the heavy reliance on computational photography, which starts disappointing when you need sharp photos in certain zoomed-in or challenging conditions. Even so, the Pixel 10 remains a strong contender in its segment, going up against rivals like the Samsung S25 FE and vivo X200 FE.
Price: ₹79,999
Pros: Great display, sound, cameras and build quality.
Cons: Pricy, photography seems too AI centric.
