Fashion is art, and a bunch of celebs just showed up at the 2026 Met Gala to prove just that. Which is convenient, since it’s also the dress code this year! However, Sydney Sweeney wasn’t one of them. She skipped out on fashion’s biggest night this year because she’s currently halfway around the world on a family vacation.

According to footage published by TMZ, Syd is actually on a family vacation in Australia with her dad and her friend, Kelley McCartney, as of Monday, May 4. She was really out here feeding giraffes some greens at the Taronga Zoo in Sydney! Per the outlet, Sydney also hiked along the Harbour Bridge to take in breathtaking views of the coast with her family.

Oh, and the day before that, she also caught a Sydney Swans game at Sydney Cricket Ground on Sunday, May 3. That’s almost too many Sydneys to count!

As for the Euphoria star’s fashion journey, which eventually brought her to the Met Gala in 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025?

“Fashion is a really fun way of embracing different sides of yourself,” Sydney told People a few years back. “Some days, I might feel very girly, some days, I might feel edgy. Others, I might feel like I want to be more laid-back. It’s a way of being able to express those different sides of how I feel or who I am.

“It’s always going to change,” she added of her personal style. “That’s what’s so amazing, especially about being a woman, is being able to embrace all the different sides of ourselves, because we are so multifaceted and there’s so much going on. I can never imagine being one thing for the rest of my life. If I put [clothes] on and I smile and I feel good [in them], then I know that's what I want to wear. I don’t really let other people dictate how I should feel or what I should be doing or wearing, because if I’m happy and it’s making me feel good, that’s what matters.”
