Is ‘Euphoria’ Getting a Fourth Season? Here’s Why Fans Ar...
2026-05-02 · via Latest Content - Cosmopolitan

  • Euphoria season 3 is currently airing on HBO and HBO Max.
  • Fans were under the impression that this could be the final season, as much of the show’s cast has blown up into massive movie stars.
  • Now, they’re convinced Euphoria could be returning for a fourth season. Here’s what we know.

After a four-year wait following season 2, Euphoria Sundays are officially back since season 3 hit HBO on April 12. As fans tune in every week to see what Rue and the rest of the crew have been up to after graduating high school—from Jules’ sugar baby journey and Maddy’s PR maven pipeline to Cassie’s nightmare wedding with Nate—they’re already theorizing another season of the hit series might be in the cards.

Main cast members like Zendaya, Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, and Hunter Schafer have become household names since the show’s debut in 2019—and, let’s be real, in the years-long break between season 2 and 3—which initially had fans believing this could be the final iteration of the series.

However, a certain detail in a recent post shared by HBO has now convinced the internet otherwise. In a schedule for upcoming releases, the network referred to the last episode of season 3 as a “season finale,” while referring to other releases from Hacks and The Comeback as “series finales.” So, if this is truly the last season of Euphoria, why wouldn’t it also be referred to as such?

While there’s no confirmation on whether HBO has renewed the show for a fourth season, Zendaya seemed to tease that season 3 may be the end for Euphoria during an interview on The Drew Barrymore Show while promoting her movie, The Drama, last month.

When Drew asked if the third season would be the last, Zendaya said, “I think so, yeah.”

Drew replied with, “I never want to ask questions like that, because it’s not my business, and yet, is this to be enjoyed knowing [it will end]?”

Zendaya doubled down, saying, “Yes, I think so,” before adding, “That closure is coming.”

However, showrunner Sam Levinson gave an ambiguous response during an interview that may leave things open-ended. In an interview withVariety published on April 7, he claims to write “every season like it’s the last season” and has “no plans” for a fourth season.

“I want to finish this as strong as I can,” he shared at the time. “I’m cutting [episodes] 7 and 8 still. I’m putting some finishing touches. I just want to deliver a fucking slam dunk season.”

The fate of the show has yet to be determined, but…watch this space! You never know what could happen.
