The Met Gala may be fashion’s biggest night, but as Cosmopolitan’s beauty director, I’m studying the carpet for one thing and one thing only: the epic glam moments. Tonight, there was no shortage of stunning beauty looks and emerging makeup trends, but one of my favorites was from none other than beauty icon Kylie Jenner. Kylie is a regular on red carpet best of beauty lists, so it’s no surprise she showed up to the Met in a nude makeup look that was anything but boring.

Makeup artist Ariel Tejada used Kylie Cosmetics (naturally) to create Kylie’s look, which consisted of soft neutral eyes and lips, sculpted cheeks, a few coats of black mascara, and a set of statement-making bleached brows. We’re used to seeing Kylie in a face full of warm neutrals, so the addition of the bleached brows really dialed things up while still vibing with her custom Schiapparelli haute couture gown.

Kylie wasn’t the only one sporting bleached brows at the Met Gala tonight. A-listers like Alex Consani, Lena Dunham, and Emma Chamberlain all sported their own interpretation of the edgy makeup look, and all were equally stunning.

Kylie’s bleached brows aren’t forever, though. Hours after the Met ended, she took to Instagram stories and shared her attempt at dyeing her brows back to their natural dark brown shade. Best of luck to you, Ky!
