My Secret to a Sleek Blowout in 15 Minutes? This Under-$1...
Sarah Maberry · 2026-06-24 · via Latest Content - Cosmopolitan

It used to take me 30 to 40 minutes of blow-drying, flat-ironing, and curling to achieve a sleek blowout. Now, I get the same look in just 15 minutes using my go-to Wavytalk Steamline Pro Straightener Brush. So if you've been thinking about trying the all-in-one tool for yourself, I've got good news: It's on sale for under $70 during Prime Day.

Steamline Pro Straightening Brush

My routine is pretty simple to follow. I wash my hair at night and let my frizzy 3a curls air-dry however they want, then work through the chaos layer by layer with the Steamline Pro in the morning. Avoiding blow-drying before styling helps reduce heat damage—plus, I’ve found that thanks to the steam, I can use a lower temperature setting on the Steamline Pro than on most traditional flat irons.

It seems counterintuitive that an injection of steam would help smooth things out, but I’ve found it helps heat-activated blowout products like ColorWow’s Dream Coat perform even better. The amount of water used per session is surprisingly small—my shoulder-length hair only requires a few tablespoons, in my nonscientific estimation.

Wavytalk’s Steamline Pro also works well for next-day touch-ups. As a tosser and turner, I always wake up with bedhead, so I often use the heated brush to zhuzh up my roots. Then I’ll quickly curl the ends by rotating the tool while brushing. A bit of dry shampoo and hairspray afterward, and my hair looks salon fresh, I swear.

NGL, Wavytalk makes some of the best affordable hot tools I’ve tried, so I’m always quick to alert my inner circle whenever they’re on sale. This year, the brand is offering Prime Day deals on almost all of its products, including the 5-in-1 curling wand and brush set that Sabrina Carpenter uses. On sale for under $50, it’s a great, affordable alternative to the Dyson Airwrap—but it’s likely to rise in price when Prime Day ends at midnight on June 26, so shop fast.
