Elsie Hewitt and Pete Davidson have broken up five months after welcoming their daughter, and Elsie just dropped a TikTok implying that she’s raising their baby girl alone.
Responding to recent pap pics, Elsie said, “Yeah, yeah, I know. I’m exhausted, okay? I should have left the house looking nicer yesterday. I should have known that that was gonna happen. But that’s not what I’m thinking about right now, because I have a baby to take care of, and I also have to work and make money. I’m doing it on my own, which is hard…next time, I will try to look nicer when I got paparazzi on a walk with my daughter. Okay? But I don’t know how to get rid of the eye bags because I don’t sleep.”
On top of that, she reportedly responded to a follower who wrote, “I hope you don’t mean you’re doing the financial part alone…” with “I am :).” Elsie deleted the response, but also liked a comment from someone who called “not staying with your partner” when they’re postpartum “insanely loser behavior.
Pete hasn’t spoken out about Elsie’s claims directly, but a source close to him tells People that he’s “made himself extremely available and has provided full financial support. Pete is actually covering all Scottie costs and more. He is hoping Elsie has good health and success for the sake of their daughter.”
Another insider tells Page Six that “Pete has been paying for everything related to Elsie and Scottie [including] the rent, their living expenses, their health insurance. They may have split but all he wants is for Elsie to be happy and in a good place. His main priority right now is making sure that Elsie and Scottie are looked after, so it’s utterly confusing to everyone who knows them why she would possibly post anything about him not supporting her. Obviously they have had personal disagreements and there has been a breakdown in the relationship but he is fully committed to being a good dad.”
They added that claims that Pete’s “not providing for her” are “utterly false” and that “That’s not the reality at all. [The] truth is he is actually paying for everything. Pete is doing everything to be super supportive to Elsie, he’s changed his schedule, and done everything he can to be there physically and financially so Elsie can feel supported.”
