Priyanka Chopra and her husband, Nick Jonas, literally had their meet-cute at the Met Gala almost 10 years ago, and they’ve been going strong ever since. However, the power couple’s presence was missed during this year’s festivities, as they remain booked and busy!

Priyanka is currently on a press tour promoting her project Citadel, and when she’s not doing that, she’s filming her big return to Indian cinema, Varanasi, overseas. On the flip side, Nick is also halfway across the world touring with his brothers, Joe Jonas and Kevin Jonas, in Buenos Aires, Argentina. So, it’s safe to say they had a pretty good reason to skip the Met this year.

Annnnyway, Priyanka recently spoke about her personal style with SheerLuxe, saying, “My earliest fashion memory will always be watching my mother get ready for work. She was a doctor and it was a lesson in elegance and confidence. She was always so put together—a red bindi, crisp cotton saris or salwar kameez—there was never a hair out of place. Beyond how she dressed, it was her sense of self-assuredness that struck me most. That’s when I realised style isn’t just about what you wear; it’s about how you carry yourself in the world. I’ve always taken inspiration from women who have a distinct point of view. Audrey Hepburn, Rekha, Rihanna—they all have completely different aesthetics but share an innate confidence. If I could raid anyone’s wardrobe, it would be Rihanna’s. I especially loved her maternity style—she made it look so powerful and cool.”

She added, “My personal style is all about comfort. My work is so full of drama and costume that, in my everyday life, I crave simplicity. I love clean silhouettes, great tailoring, and pieces that let me move through a full day of work, travel, and motherhood without fuss. For special occasions, I lean into statement pieces, sculptural shapes, and craftsmanship—I love clothes that tell a story.”
